One Health Approaches to AMR: Managing Human, Animal, and Environmental Risks.

One Health recognizes that the health of people, animals, and our environment are interconnected. When addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR), we need to consider all three domains together, as resistant microbes can move between them. Microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites) can develop resistance to the medicines designed to fight them. These resistant microbes can spread between humans, animals, and the environment, requiring a
coordinated approach across all sectors.
